Tempe Farmers Market
A Daily Farmers Market in Tempe? YES!
Ever since the “Gentle Strength Co-Op” closed it’s doors in February of 2007, there’s been a watermelon sized hole for those looking for fresh produce in downtown Tempe. On Thursday, October 8th, 2009 that changed.
Stroll over to the South side corner of University and Farmer, just West of Mill Avenue and you’ll find the Tempe Farmers Market. Open daily 10am - 7pm, this indoor market will specialize in organic produce, locally grown, including hormone-free meats and other homemade local products. While the long awaited grocer has yet to come to fruition in downtown, this is a nice start.
