Many Downtown Tempe residents aren’t aware of the different “districts” that surround the downtown. From the very well known area of Maple Ash District- known for it’s historic homes and thick vegetation. To the area immediately to the West of Downtown known as the Riverside and Sunset Districts. This area is an up and coming neighborhood that is in the midst of a major transition. New developments such as Tempe Urban Living, Brownstones at Tempe highlight the changes. Then there is the area West of the Maple Ash know as the Mitchell Park District...

Phoenix Magazine devoted an entire page in their magazine to the “Mitchell Park District” in downtown Tempe. The “Neighborhood Watch” section of the magazine pinpoints some of this areas bright spots.  Hot spots like: Casey Moore’s Oyster House, Essence Bakery Cafe, and Wet Paint Artist Supply just to name a few.

Hopefully, Downtown Tempe residents now have a reason to venture over to Mitchell Park and enjoy another slice of what makes Downtown Tempe such a great place to live.
