Hayden Flower Mills Historic Redevelopment
It has been a long time coming, but renderings are just beginning to surface of the Hayden Flower Mills historic redevelopment plan. The most exciting part of the plan seems to be the open air 4,000 seat amphitheater which includes grass lawns sloping up the back of “A” Mountain. (See article for site plan showing the amphitheater.) In addition, the development will include a hotel with guest rooms in the old silo, and restaurant / retail space. Baum Development, who brings historic redevelopment experience to the table, was selected by the City of Tempe to spearhead the new development.

That property is planned to be two high rise buildings, a Kimpton Hotel and an office building. The Monti’s Restaurant was closed and will house a new “Sam-Fox-Style” restaurant, although no restaurant has been announced.
