Centerpoint Condominiums Update in News

Is Walking Away From Your Home Immoral?

One of the great debates currently whirling around the real estate world, and especially amongst struggling, upside down homeowners, is the question of if (or when) it is ethically acceptable to break one’s contractual obligation to repay your home loan.
In light of this “great debate”, an Arizona State University law professor, Brent White, has published a 50 page paper discussing the issues surrounding this real estate topic. Some of his thoughts are included in this article attached below. No doubt, emotions on the subject run very deep and the question is never as easy to answer as one first thinks.

Centerpoint Condos Foreclosure - Updated

According to published reports, a foreclosure date has been set for the Tempe hi-rise development in Downtown Tempe. The date has been set for April 2010 with an unpaid debt of $135 million.

As unfortunate as this is, it is the start of what needs to happen in order to have the project finally completed. According to the article, there are interested buyers waiting in the wings. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Robbie Foxs Public House to Open- Updated

Another restaurant, in the exciting line of recent openings on Mill Avenue, is set to open just West of Mill Avenue and 6th Street. “Robbie Fox’s Public House” (read PUB) will debut this month. Their web site is not yet live, but when it is, it can be found here: Robbiefoxs.com

We don’t know a whole lot about what will be included in this modern Irish pub, but like all good Irish pubs we do know that the bar, furniture and equipment were made in Ireland and are currently being shipped on the high seas to the States right now! Also, for those who are interested, applications can be picked up starting January 7th, 2010 at the Robbie Fox’s location, 640 S. Mill Avenue, Suite 105, Tempe, Arizona 85281. Sucker Punch Sallys Diner - Update

Rumor has it, Sucker Punch Sally’s Old School Diner is preparing to take a “sucker punch” of their own when they open their doors for the first time this New Years Eve! We can’t blame them for wanting to experience the busiest celebration on Mill Avenue of the year, but a “soft opening” that will not be! We hope that sucker punch Sally has a stiff upper lip!

As has been reported here previously, Sucker Punch Sallys Diner is located at the corner of Mill Avenue and University and will be open 24 hours a day with plans of serving up breakfast all day. Think of it as an old school diner with a biker edge. We think Mill Avenue is ready for all the comfort food they can dish out!
